With the growing rise of digital threats, digital security is no longer a luxury but a necessity for every journalist and media student.

Between April and June 2025, Silat Wassel organized a series of five virtual trainings delivered by trainer Fahmi Al-Bahith, targeting journalism students as well as male and female journalists from South Lebanon.

Throughout these sessions, participants gained essential skills to protect themselves digitally and learned about tools and techniques that help strengthen their digital safety while performing their journalistic work.

The series resulted in three in-depth journalistic reports produced by the participants, addressing topics such as digital safety, personal security of journalists, and freedom of expression in digital environments.
