We are an independent, youth-driven media platform. We work to empower and support the next generation of journalists in the Arab world, especially journalism and media students in South Lebanon. Through resources and trainings that keep pace with innovation in all forms of journalism while aligning with professional standards and ethics. We also produce reports and investigative pieces that shed light on issues in the Tyre district of South Lebanon, strengthening local media coverage and amplifying youth voices and concerns across the Arab world.
Silat Wassel is committed to publishing journalism where professionalism comes first—ranging from investigative reporting to opinion pieces and feature stories in written, visual, and audio formats. The platform dedicates space to issues of women, minorities, the environment, and climate change, while standing firmly for individual rights to freedom of belief, expression, and gender identity.
