In-Person Workshops on Digital Safety and Security for Journalists from South Lebanon

Amid the growing challenges to freedom of expression in South Lebanon, where journalists face significant security risks.

With support from SMEX, Silat Wassel organized two training workshops on digital safety and security, with the participation of 19 journalists and activists from South Lebanon.
Over two days (August 8–9), participants learned data protection skills, online safety tools, and secure browsing techniques to safeguard themselves and their sources in a shifting media environment.

These workshops support press freedom, empower journalists and activists, and enhance their capacities in digital security.
